The Winning Hand

The Winning Hand
A change would do you good
Make you feel somewhat better that you do right now
Your minds an open book
Close the pages that made you feel bad and in doubt
It's still half full, like it always should
A change is on the cards
Get a full deck and replace the old ones you had
A string of broken hearts
But you still have one more ace up your sleeve
It's still half full, like it always should
Life's just a poker game that we play
Always winnings always losers that get cast away
Life's just a poker game that we play
Just make sure that you don't waste one more day
A change would do you good
Search through your pockets and maybe you'll find what you lost
You always knew you should
Get rid of those bad thoughts that fill up your mind
It's still half full, like it always should
You still feeling good, throw the bad and negative pages away
Life's just a poker game that we play
Always winnings always losers that get cast away
Life's just a poker game that we play
Just make sure that you don't waste one more day
(but now you know that this could be your lucky day)

Graveyard Poetry

Graveyard Poetry
It was all just like graveyard poetry
That you made me want to go and write
It's just a place you felt would scare me
In the mist and bright moonlight
You made me feel so low and unholy
All my thoughts so dark and down
I found the place where we reached are grand finale
In this place driven to the ground
So sad and low, mind drifting off to different things
So mad you showed, me what my fate just brings
Now I've written loads of Graveyard poetry
Not so happy and not so apt
I've written all the verses a to z
It's put my mind thrown off the track
So sad and low, mind drifting off to different things
So mad you showed, me what my fate just brings
I see you dancing there in the moonlight
On the other side of midnight, candlelight , on the Twelfth Night
Now I'm drifting dreaming of my life
In a flash the years go by
I've never been to a wonderful paradise
But could be there in the blink of an eye
So sad and low, mind drifting off to a different world
So mad you showed, me the place so deathly
I'm on the last verse of my story
It's a tale that really must be told
We're all heading on the path to glory
After searching for pot a of gold
So sad and low that I didn't have one more regret
So sad to know that soon it could be our last breath
So sad and low, mind drifting off to a different world
So mad you showed, me my soul that you just sold
You made me feel so low and unholy
All my thoughts so dark and down
I found the place where we reached are grand finale
Well this spot is hidden in the ground
It was all just grave yard poetry
It was all like graveyeard poetry

Spell Of The Moon

Spell Of The Moon
Sitting there on a fence
It's a beautiful clear sky to lift up your head
You squint your eyes with the light
Not sure about the strangest image you saw
Then you could make out it's face
Smiling brightly down on you from above
In brightens up your mood and your feelings
Helps you out with the scare that needs heeling
Takes away all the pain, Lose the badness that goes
around and around and around and around til it stops
Drift away into space
Your soul is free now and floating there with the stars
Now you're gone witout trace
Know one knows where you've been for all those years
You see them looking so small in the distance
You know that this life the start of existence
Drift away to the moon, Drift around and around
And around till it stops
Middle 8
Then you come back to earth
Was I awake or was I dreaming
Was it the spell of the moon
That's given my life a whole new meaning
You know there's more to this life
We're all put here for something more than just this
And wouldn't it be so nice
To think out there is this paradise
It's just a short time and don't take for granted
Take care of those seeds that you've planted
Cause that's the reason to live
And goes on and on and on and on till it stops

Keep Your Enemies Close

Keep Your Enemies Close
The moon is out and it brighens up this dark road
But you still can't see where to go
It's like your vision was blurred but visable now
Disapperad such a long time ago
You keep on walking and bad luck follows your way
But one day this has to change
It's like life is based on the toss of a coin
And it lands face down all the time
Need to belong, string you along
Don't feel you belong
Just keep you enemies close
To be freinds was a joke
So still keep your enemies close
Be careful with people that you sometimes meet
They can lie and cheat and disceive
Think the worst and then anything differnt is great
Then you won't get let down that way
You thought you knew them but how could you be so far wrong
You just should have know all along
They pretend to be nice but you know it's a con
You needed a place to belong
Need to belong, string you along
Don't feel you belong
Just keep you enemies close
To be freinds was a joke
So still keep your enemies close
They look at you with such jealousy in their eyes
They got so much to despise
They think there better but little to offer they know
So they keep the prestense for a show
They spread bad rumours and lies that ruin your name
And try to put your face now to shame
But you've seen right through them they have no place to hide
Disapperad into the fading light
Just keep you enemies close
To be freinds was a joke
So still keep your enemies close

Tuesday Morning

Tuesday Morning
Just a usually Tuesday morning
Awakening to a brillant sky
All seemed in place and no warnings
All was pefect in your life
You yawned and stretched and had your coffee
All was in place and seemed fine
You held her close and kissed her softly
Angels working overtime
The early morning sun was warming
You kissed you kids and wife goodbye
You thought what a wonderful life
You yawned and stretched and had a coffee
To clear your mind from being foggy
Then kissed your wife goodbye
Just a usual Tuesday morning
Car was running right on time
You didn't know a storm was forming
And you'd be up there half past nine
Another time another place
Another World another space
Another time another face
Couldn't see a fall from grace
To the pane and out the window
You stared accross the great divide
Just waiting there in limbo
Sky was still and clear and bright
Then the sky turned a shade of black
And your life turned upside down
All was lost and without reason
Within a moment a heart attack

No Words Said

No Words Said
One glance can say a thousand words
That never could be heard
Sheer anger in your eyes
Which comes as no surprise
It's more than I deserve
It's so easy to get hurt
With words that can be said
Hard to keep a level head
Pre chours
The eyes can say things that know one else can hear
But I see right through and image can be clear
No words said, it was one day that I should have stayed in bed
No words said, black cloud that's hanging from my head
Words can't break your bones
And can turn your heart to stone
They hit you in the heart
An tear your world apart
You feel a pain inside
When two worlds collide
Tears then to be shed
A heart that has been bled
Pre chours
The eyes can say things that know one else can hear
But I see right through and image can be clear
No words said, it was one day that I should have stayed in bed
No words said, black cloud that's hanging from my head
No words said, No words to be said
Middle 8 (Am, C, Em, Am, Em, Am, Em, D)
Words can cut you up like a knife that's deep inside
But a glance of mistrust has no place to hide
No words said, it was one day that I should have stayed in bed
No words said, black cloud that's hanging from my head
No words said, it was one day that I should have stayed in bed
No words said, black cloud that's hanging from my head
No words said, No words to be said

Running On Empty

Running On Empty
We've been running on empty for a long time now
The words they use to be plenty now all is in doubt
I look at you from a distance even though we're so close
We walk in different directions and cannot fix what is broke
Running on empty, we've both drawn a blank
Running on empty, we've each other to thank
Running on empty, for far to long now
You're sitting there starring blankly with nothing much to say
I try my best but it's pointless feelings long cast away
Time has put space between us I feel you drifting so far
It's too late to look forwards we're so many miles far apart
Running on empty, we've both drawn a blank
Running on empty, we've each other to thank
Running on empty, for far to long now
The door is now flung wide open calling me now to leave
No need for words now I need some room to breathe
The cards that we dealt we're all losers we'd never come out on top
We thought we'd carry on playing the novelty's long worn off
It's time to except that we're different nothing common at all
Wasted time that we've now spent trapped behind these walls
Running on empty, we've both drawn a blank
Running on empty, we've each other to thank
Running on empty, for far to long now
Running on empty, and got nowhere to go
Running on empty, it's such a desolate road
Running on empty, time to soften the blow
Running on Empty, yet nowhere to go
Running on Empty, with this wounded soul
Running on empty with nowhere to go
Running on empty with nowhere to go
Running on empty with nowhere to go

Hey Mr DJ

|

Hey Mr. DJ
Hey Mr. DJ will ya play my song
I need a break to help me get along
Since my baby left me I haven’t make her buck
I've got this crazy feeling you could really change my luck
So play it on the radio
Play it on the radio
Play it on the radio
Play it on the radio
She always listens to your show
On the radio
Chain smoking since she when away
I've got this nervous coughing
As I wait for some airplay
You see I know for certain
That you've got the power to make her see
She said I was a waster and penniless I’d always be
So play it on the radio
Play it on the radio
Play it on the radio
Play it on the radio
She always listens to your show
On the radio
So hey Mr. DJ will you give it a spin
You know that you can save me from this dreadful mess I’m in
I really do believe that you’re my one and only chance
To lift my depression change my circumstance
So play it on the radio
Play it on the radio
Play it on the radio
Play it on the radio
She always listens to your show
On the radio

I'm Through With You
04:01
|

I'm Through With You
I'm through with talking, I'm through with you
Just a dead man walking, devil on the loose
Sick and tired of cheating, sick and tired it's true
It's a verbal beating, that I've taken from you
Been knocked to the ground, and kicked to the floor
Been taken for granted, and selling myself short
I'm done with deception, I'm though with the lies
I won't make an exception, cause God knows I've tried
I can't stand all the anger, that you make me feel
Now the wounds are so open, and never will heel
Been knocked to the ground, and kicked to the floor
Been taken for granted, and heard it all before
I've taken all that I can take, cannot feel anymore
No matter what you give, I show you what I have in store
Years of bottled up anger, that surely will blow
Cause it can't take the pressure, I need to let it all go
Been knocked to the ground, and kicked to the floor
Been taken for granted, and heard it all before
(Middle 8) You've taken all I've got and hide it away
But you're a fool for a lifetime and a king for a day
It will come back to haunt you and rain your parade
But I'm glad to free now broken lose of the chains

Need To Be Strong

Need To Be Strong
Looking at memories you have on the wall
Pictures that spread half a lifetime
Your Mother, Your Father, Your sister and you
It's a shame you left them all behind
Come on be Strong, You need to be belong
Come on Be Strong, Don't be angry
The portrait of when you were young at your school
So happy with many of your friends
When you were always playing it cool
It's ashame they were'nt loyal to the end
The reflections of when you were married to her
Now she's long gone without meaning
The time you where happy you know that you were
You must remember those feelings
Come on be Strong, You need to be belong
Come on Be Strong, Don't be angry
The picture of when she gave birth to your kid
It's a shame that you can't get to see him
Time went and you went and set him adrift
How long now has it been?
The momento of what they had given to you
That still sits with dust in the corner
It once was so special but sadly is not
It should have been kept in good order
Come on be Strong, You need to be belong
Come on Be Strong, Don't be angry
The momento of what they'd given to you
It now sits lost without meaning
You'd gone and left it somewhere in the dark
I wonder what you were feeling
The photos of long lost reletives framed
Up there above the window
It's not to late now to put it to change
But you don't know where they've been to
You need to Strong, Come on be Strong
You need to belong, Don't be angry
